After romancing Bollywood beauties like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha, the Tamil superstar is all set to share screen with none other than Radhika ApteIt has been a great year for Radhika Apte. Not just her performances in films like Badlapur and Hunterrr were appreciated, her short film Ahalya directed by Sujoy Ghosh became viral. Radhika Apte, who has made her presence felt in Telugu cinema and Tamil films before, will be starring opposite none other than superstar Rajinikanth himself. The rumour which was doing the rounds for a while now has been put to rest with Radhika officially signing the film. “I don’t know how to describe the feeling. It will take some time to sink in. I don’t think there is anybody bigger than Rajini sir. The director of the film, Pa Ranjith, is also exceptionally good. So, I am thrilled that everything worked out. I am also excited because I will finally get to meet Rajinikanth,” says Radhika.
Although Radhika has worked in a few Tamil films in the past, she admits that she isn’t entirely familiar with the language and will indulge in extensive preparations to master the same. Now we have to wait and watch how Rajini-Radhika Apte jodi fares onscreen. Will Radhika manage to beat Aishwarya, Deepika and Sonakshi to be the best Rajini heroine in recent times? Only time will tell.
